The final three made their way to Honolulu, Hawaii for the 12th and final leg of the race. They all got on the same flight, which set the table for an even battle for the million dollars. Rachel and Dave got the first cab out of the Airport and lucked out with a guy that knew exactly what the clue meant. Art and JJ got a cab and had no clue where to go. The cab driver took them to an inland hotel far away from the twin tower buildings on the coast. Rachel and Dave got to the towers first and they had to use their arms to wench themselves up a rope to the top of the high rise building. They then had to repel down the building face first. It was very scary. Brendon and Rachel got the task right behind and finished close to Rachel and Dave. Art and JJ fell way behind and were just starting the task, as team big brother was finishing.
The roadblock required one team member to shave ice off a huge block to fill a bucket. It was surprisingly tough for the men. After completing the roadblock, the teams were advised to go by foot to the field across the park. Team big brother misunderstood the clue and jumped in a cab to go to the big stadium on the island. This allowed Art and JJ to catch up. Rachel and Dave led the way as they took a scenic helicopter ride along the coast. Once Rachel and Brendon realized what they did, they had a big fight and Rachel cried to keep her streak of 12 straight legs with tears going.
Rachel and Dave got to the next roadblock first and it involved using a jet ski to rescue a stranded swimmer. The task actually looked really fun and all the teams completed it fairly easily. Rachel and Dave had a huge lead and found the trail for the Amazing race with paddleboards and instructions to cross the water to the finish line. They arrived at the final pit stop with all the other teams there, but host Phil Keoghan told the couple they didn’t complete the last Roadblock, which was not allowed. They had to go back and finish it. They were instantly behind.
Art and JJ got to the roadblock first. Art was chosen to sled down on a grass hill on a narrow sled without falling off the whole way. Art tried several times with no luck. Rachel and Dave showed up and Rachel was able to do the task on her 2nd try. She then had to do the second part of the task, which was rolling a stone into a small net. Dave yelled at Rachel the whole time, telling her to work on her technique about 20 times before she told him to shut up. Art continued to struggle and JJ pointed out that he was one sled ride away from a million dollars. Rachel hit the net and her and Dave were off to get their win. Art could not do it. Team Big Brother showed up finally and Rachel was able to do the sled ride on one try. Her large boobs seemed to help her balance ion the sled a lot. She was not able to bowl the rock very well though. Art finally got down the hill and hit the net right away in the rock bowling part.
Phil Keoghan welcomed Rachel and Dave back again, but this time as the winners of the Amazing race. They won their record 8th leg and a million bucks. Divorce lawyers everywhere instantly got excited. They dominated the season and Phil twisted Dave’s arm into giving his wife some credit. I think they used their hatred of each other as motivation. Art and JJ came in second and my have just ran into the best team ever or they would have won the race. Rachel and Brendon made it through the race, but Rachel had to be dehydrated from crying so much.
