Heather Morris from Glee was brought on to host this week, but because she is not a real celebrity yet, she did not have celebrity friends she could punk. She was giver 3 people to punk and it may have been the worst Punk’d show ever in terms of success, comedic value, and participation by the target.

The first target was Cody Simpson who is a pop singer from Australia. He was set up to be “robbed” by his limo driver. A second driver drove Cody back to his house where the original limo driver was filling his truck with Cody’s belongings. The guy even stole Cody’s Christmas tree, which may have been a reference to the Grinch who stole Christmas. I am not sure what the resale value is on a Christmas tree. Cody tried to act like he didn’t know he was being pranked, but as the prank got more and more weird he started to show signs of being in on it. Other people kept casually walking out of Cody’s house that were friends with the driver and each of them just added to the lack of believability of the gag. Again MTV decided that lewdness towards minors is definitely ok as one of the three that walked out of the house was a woman and she offered to show the 15-year-old singer her boobs if he let the driver get away. All in all the prank was silly and very unbelievable.

The second person to be “punk’d” was Joe Jonas. Joe was brought to a house by an accomplice and was supposed to be tricked into thinking he helped a robber steal a TV from the place. Joe was too smart for Heather and the producers as he spotted hidden cameras right away and was not sold by the wealk acting performances. The show decided to not reveal to Joe that he debunked their plans and just had him leave. Heather couldn’t believe there was a smart Jonas, which I thought was pretty rude.

The last person to be put in a punk’d situation was Emma Roberts who is an actress and the niece of superstar Julia Roberts. A friend brought her to a frozen yogurt shop. She didn’t want any yogurt, which made the prank less involved for her. The yogurt machine went crazy and spouted crazy amounts of liquid on the floor while her friend tried to use it. Emma wanted little to do with the situation and went outside. Another punk’d actor tried to goat her into helping by filming her just sitting outside the shop and asking her why she wasn’t helping. Emma pretty much just sat there and told the guy to stop filming. She really had no reason to help as she didn’t do anything and it wasn’t her problem. Some Good Samaritan ran in the store to try and help, but Emma was cool staying outside. She may have realized she was being punk’d and she handled it the right way. Why look silly for no reason? The reveal did nothing for the show and it was another failed prank.

I felt like this show should have just been trashed. None of the gags went off well and none were that funny to begin with. There is one more show were a less than famous person punks other less than famous people, then Aston will return for some big names. I am eagerly awaiting Ashton’s return, but I think many of the shows this season have ruined the reputation of this show.
