Episode 17: Monkey Business
Still in Costa Rica and dealing with the aftermath of the Alexis attack. Everyone is sitting at the table. Gretchen opens her mouth again and not to have Alexis’ back. Without her lobster, Alexis gets up and leaves. The girls want to hug it out and she says she needs more time. Gretchen wants the attention back on her. She grabs an umbrella, heads down to Alexis’ room in the rain. She knocks, but Alexis doesn’t want to let her in. She pushes in and Alexis just wants her to leave. Gretchen tells her how hard it is FOR HER, STOP making it about you…she leaves. Next, Vicki with lobster in tow knocks on the door and pushes in. She tells Alexis she knows how she feels, makes it all about Vicki, shocker, remember when she was attacked in San Francisco, well why don’t you remember that? Now, Gretchen is at the table with the girls and pissed that Vicki was allowed in and she looks like a better friend. Damn these girls have issues and I love it 
Next morning, Heather knocks on the door, and i was pleasantly surprised. They talk a little, Alexis tries to move on. They all hop in a taxi to go to the beach, but Alexis only chills for a few minutes then has to catch her early plane. Before she goes, she pulls aside Gretchen and calls her out for being a bad friend and trying to make things about her, when everything should be about Alexis. AND she wants to know why Heather gets to act all prima donna and she doesn’t get called out? Alexis wants specific examples from good friend Gretchen as to how her behaviors are so poorly in everyone’s eyes, no response..can this friendship be saved?
Rest of the girls strip down to bathing suits, but Tamra wants them to show more skin and tries to help them undress. Her and Gretchen rub butts and jump all over Heather and Vicki. See a random raccoon. They feed monkeys some bananas.
The remaining four plant trees to leave an imprint. Off the meds/or on them Vicki starts crying thinking about one of them dying. She also goes to plant one for Alexis, since she isn’t there and of course that one breaks and falls apart, ouch.
To the rapid rivers. For some reason these OC women want to white water raft and drive the guide crazy, hope they paid him well. They wish they had Alexis’ life preservers, wink wink. I wanted so badly for the boat to tip, it didn’t…they yelled and screamed the whole time, I literally had to mute the TV it was so annoying.
Down another housewife, Heather leaves. Vicki, Tamra and Gretchen go have lunch and a beer. Vicki on/off drugs cries again, this time about Don. I was feeling for her. I liked them together and can’t stand Brooks. She worries about Don and she admits she initiated the divorce, but if he wanted her, he could have fought for her. She wonders if he is sad without her? Are you Don? She is at an all cry out point all the time – wouldn’t you be – dealing with divorce (2nd one), your gem daughter eloping, Brooks being weird…but, she is reaching for Brooks to help her out of it, distract her really? STOP you are smart, please see it!
