Season 2, Episode 201 – Leaving on a Jet Plane

I had no idea I would get attached to the Clampet family, but I am. They are just so real and fun. Can’t believe it is already time to send them on another vacation…really? their jobs let them have more time off from work?

Back in Shreveport, Louisiana the Clampets gather around a laptop to Skype with Tom Arnold. He announces that they will be going on another all expenses paid trip..but, not to the Hamptons..this year they will be traveling to the Yorkshires – in England for 10 weeks

Tom requested that he be picked on less this season. They show a few highlights of what is to come including living in British luxury with servants that call the Clamptons ‘masters’. Biggest question…does England have Bug Light??

A few updates – Michelle is pregnant. Tommy and Tammy are engaged and i’m sure are looking to have their wedding in England (and paid for). I think for all of them, this is their first time of the country. After a long plane ride and harassing the driver about things to eat and do in England, they pull up to their CASTLE!!  They meet the staff, check out some of the 97 rooms in their new home and meet Roger Tempest the aristocrat owner. He also stays not that far away on his miles of land.

There is a butler, Heath who explains how if they need anything they ring a bell. Also, dinner is served at 5:45pm each night. First dinner, Roger joins them. The Clampets welcome him with some camo stuff and spices, super cute.

The food isn’t what they are use to, although everyone speaks English there is still a language barrier and everyone has a difficult time understanding each other. AND…NO BUD LITE. Lucky for Doug he packed a few and excuses himself for a minute during dinner to chug one in private.
