Reality TV isn’t evil…most of the time….

Enough with the hating on Reality TV. Really. Why are people always talking about how horrible it is? I am just fed up. People, you have the option of taking a situation and selecting the good or the bad from it. It is your choice.

Hate on television, go for it, then don’t buy a TV, don’t watch it. But, to LOVE sitcoms and at the same time think Reality TV has nothing to offer, is just ludicrous. Name a show and I can tell you give an educational side to it, an entertainment value, a way to make you think about life, society, family, values, morals…or just give you a few laughs, clear your head before heading to work, seriously, look at the good Reality TV can give you.

Some of the biggest haters out there have been attacking the Kardashian Klan for years now. Guess what, it is all falling on deaf ears as they continue to pull in millions each year and get more and more shows about them. Educational; this season I learned about water births as Kourtney gave thought to it for herself…had ya’ll seen a water birth before? Family; ever thought about yours? The Kardashians are busy, just like most of us and they show you how to work, have fun, keep family ties, argue, make-up…you catching on yet?

Next, many people are making fun of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo…cool, because they are laughing all the way to the bank homie. I go to work, I go to class, I have errands to run, things on my mind….all of this goes out the window the second I put on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Why? Because they are entertaining, they make you laugh with June’s funny faces, Alana’s squealing pig, family nicknames like Sugar Bear, Chickadee and Pumpkin. Any of this hurting you yet? No, why would it? Sit back and watch another family make you laugh, much like the Osbourne’s did when they were one of the first TV families with their own reality show. You have a hard time making ends meet? Well, maybe you can learn a thing or two from this family who uses coupons, has lemonade stands and doesn’t miss a car payment to buy the latest iPhone.

I know reality TV isn’t for everyone and by no means do I like every reality television show either. But, do I hate on Will and Grace fans because I never got into the show? Nope. Do I hate on sitcoms because I don’t watch them all? Nope. Let me know if I helped changed your mind…Reality TV isn’t so evil after all….
