Season 4: Episode 5
Let’s talk about some of the crazy ideas offered to the sharks this week.
Idea #1: Cozy Bug
Aly Lessor says her kids grow out of clothes too fast. Her dresses allow kids to keep growing and the dress adjusts to keep up. The dresses were kind of cute, but also looked like colorful pillow cases. Also, what girl wants to wear the same dress for years? Who says the dress doesn’t end up stained after the first year anyway?
Aly wanted $50K for 25% Equity. Lori and Daymond fought for this deal. Daymond won with $50K for 30%.
Idea #2: Wired Waffles
I don’t like energy drinks and I don’t really eat waffles, so this energy waffle definitely wasn’t for me. Maybe you feel otherwise? The idea is having customers who want energy, eat this waffle infused with energy, so you get some food and a boost at the same time. The Sharks taste the product and hate it. While Roger Sullivan wanted $75K for 24%, he received no offers.
Idea #3: Spatty
Cheryl Rigdon was tired of not being able to get the last of her expensive make-up out of the bottle, or ever still have lotion at the bottom and it is more of a pain to get, that you just throw away the bottle? Well, Spatty and Spatty-Daddy to the rescue! This little piece of plastic fits into containers, scrapes around and saves you money on getting that last bit of product out. Sharks loved the idea, but thought it was too early to come to them. No offers were made.
Idea #4: MarzSprays
Brandon and Keith are brothers trying to make it with their new supplement idea. Who doesn’t love swallowing pills – millions of people. So, instead of taking a vitamin pill, how about just spraying a few squirts into your mouth? They showed a commercial they had already made for the product and were asking $200K for 10% equity. Lori and Kevin made offers, Mark thought it was a hoax. Lori’s offer of $200K for 25% equity with an option to buy back half of the equity at 4X the investment was accepted.

I love waffles!
I will try to find you a “Wired Waffle”, you can test it and let us all know what you think.
